What is the PCB Exchange™
Each time you order a replacement board, Adams’ PCB ExchangeTM provides up to a 40% credit in exchange for your old repairable board. We make the process simple – we’ll send your new board right away so you’re back up and running in no time. To receive your credit, simply send us your old board and we’ll credit your account when we receive and inspect it.
How Much Credit Will I Receive for My Old PC Board?
Most boards are credited for the full 40% amount. Exceptions occur when:
• The board is too damaged to repair
• The board is obsolete
• The board is valued at less than $100
• The board is not received by Adams from the customer
How Do I Send My Old PC Board Back?
We will provide you with a pre-printed shipping label to send the board to our PCB facility in Holland, Ohio. Make sure you reuse the shipping package from your new board to prevent additional damage, and return the old board as soon as possible to avoid charges.
What do I do if the PC Board I want to return for credit has Job Specific Software?
If the PC Board you are replacing has Job Specific software, PLEASE REMOVE THE SOFTWARE BEFORE RETURNING the core. The replacement board WILL NOT have this software included, but it may have a blank chip/”place holder” where you will need to re-install your original Job Specific software. If you have any questions about this part of the core return process, please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance.
Do PC Boards Come with Installation Instructions?
Information will be included with each board as required to successfully install that board in a retrofit situation. This information may include wiring diagrams, jumper configurations and/or adjustment procedures.
